It is with great sadness PLG has learnt of the recent passing of Professor William (Bill) Dawson.
Bill’s contribution to PLG was immense, he was part of the original committee and, as founder, instrumental in creating PLG training courses that are still going strong today. Bill trained as a pharmacist, specialising in Pharmacology, and went on to have a long and distinguished career, working for Eli Lilly and Co for over 20 years. Bill had a number of industry posts, including Governor of the University of Brighton, ABPI Research and Development Committee and Royal Society of Chemistry Parliamentary Advisory Committee
Bill’s passion and contribution to the industry continues with the annual Dawson scholarship, created in 2000 to encourage young professionals to join business development & licensing within the life-sciences sector. Each year the chosen candidate receives free attendance at the PLG Introduction to Healthcare Business Development training course.
PLG would like to pass our condolences to Bill’s family, friends and PLG colleagues past & present.
